Rich († 2013) was the billionaire founder of commodity trading giant Glencore. The "King of Oil" was a fugitive from US justice for many years, until he was granted a pardon in the controversial last act of Bill Clinton's presidency (tax evasion, illegal trading). Rich never returned to the US though.
He purchased El Rincón, his Costa del Sol home, in the 1980s. His Lake Lucerne home is also featured on this site.
Rich died of a stroke on June 26, 2013 at a Lucerne hospital.
