Margaret Carnegie Miller was the only child of industrialist and philanthropist Andrew Carnegie, and heir to his fortune.
Ms. Carnegie built this property, known as Migdale Castle, in 1927 and designed similarly to her father's Skibo Castle in Scotland. The main house is 34,500 sqft The property is spread across 200 acres and includes a tennis court with cabana, a playground, a 5,000 sqft gate house, a 10,000 sqft staff house, ponds, greenhouses, chicken coops, and views of the Catskill Mountains.
