Martha Stewart is a business magnate, writer, and television personality. In 2005, she appeared on the Forbes list of 400 wealthiest Americans, with a net worth of $970 million. The 60+ acres estate, known as Skylands, was developed in 1925 for Edsel Ford, whose father, Henry was the auto magnate who founded Ford Motor Company. The 35,000 sq ft home was purchased in by Stewart in 1997 from the Leede family of Denver, who runs Leede Exploration, an oil and gas firm.
