Mausoleum of Saladin

Mausoleum of Saladin (StreetView)
Ṣalāḥ ad-Dīn Yūsuf ibn Ayyūb (1137/1138 – March 1193) better known as Saladin in the west was the first sultan of Egypt and Syria. Saladin may be best known in the west for his recapture of Palestine and Jersualem after Crusaders had held it for 88 years. Saladin also is known for his perceived mercy on the Frankish inhabitants of Jerusalem, allowing them to pay a small ransom to leave Jerusalem unharmed.
