Mercury Marauder

Mercury Marauder

Dearborn Heights, Michigan (MI), US
A high-performance sedan based on Ford's Panther platform finally went into production in May 2002 for the 2003 model year. With an engine shared with the Lincoln Navigator and the Ford Mustang Mach 1 of its time, it proved to be an impressive "sleeper", a car that packs high performance despite unassuming looks. The Marauder used parts from both the Grand Marquis and the Ford Crown Victoria (such as the suspension from the Police Interceptor). However, sales fell short of expectations, and production ended in 2004 after 11,052 units were built, and it is sought after to this day.
