Metroline No. WHD2710 – LK70 AYZ

Metroline No. WHD2710 – LK70 AYZ is a Wrightbus StreetDeck Hydroliner FCEV bus with H41/21D seating configuration. It was delivered new to Metrolink in 2020.

Wrightbus of Ballymena, Northern Ireland claim that their StreetDeck Hydroliner was the first Hydrogen power double deck bus.

The StreetDeck Hydroliner FCEV has a Hydrogen Fuel Cell power train and a battery pack which has a capacity of 48KWh and gives it a range of 280 miles. It was developed by Wrightbus as part of the Joint Initiative for Hydrogen Vehicles (JIVE) funded by the European Union.

Here on Street View WHD2710 is seen travelling north on Edgware Road in Metroline’s standard red livery. The bus also carries logos with the slogan “I am a hydrogen bus”.
