Michael Marin's House (Former)

Phoenix, Arizona (AZ), US
Michael Marin was a former Wall Street trader and attorney. In June 2012, Marin was sentenced to 16 years in prison for the 2009 burning of his home.

When firefighters arrived at the scene of the blaze, Marin was found escaping through a 2nd floor window wearing a scuba tank and mask. It was found that in the year before the fire, Marin's bank account shrank from $900,000 to just $50. He had a monthly mortgage of $17,250 on the mansion with a balloon payment of $2.3million coming due.

In the courtroom video, upon sentencing, it appears that Marin committed suicide by swallowing something shortly before collapsing and dying on the courtroom floor.
