Home to the Michigan State Fair which is the oldest state fair in the United States. The first was held in 1849 and it has been held on this current site for 100 years from 1905-2005. (Somebody must rent the fairgrounds for car storage 'cause there sure is a lot of 'em parked there and it ain't for the fair or a funeral.)
