Moaz al-Kasasbeh was a Jordanian pilot who was captured by ISIS militants. He was executed in this field in early January 2015 after being paraded through the town and tortured. The militants burned al-Kasabeh alive in a cage in this field as ISIS supporters, as young as 8 years old, cheered on.
