Monastiráki, ("little monastery") is a flea market neighborhood in the old town of Athens, and is 1 of the main shopping districts in the city. The area is home to clothing boutiques, souvenir shops and specialty stores, and is a major tourist attraction in Athens and Attica for bargain shopping. The area is named after Monastiraki Square, in turn named for the Church of the Pantanassa that's within the square. The main streets of this area are Pandrossou Street and Adrianou Street.

The square was featured in a Detour in Leg 9 of The Amazing Race 38. In "Music in the Air", teams had to bring a crank-operated piano called a laterna to the square and earn 10 euros from passersby to receive their next clue.
