This award-winning sensory garden in the town of Congleton was created in 2018 to provide a vibrant sensory space for people of all ages to relax and enjoy.
The garden contains five planted areas with one for each of touch, sound, sight, smell and taste. The seating in the garden provides the opportunity to rest and spend time enjoying all the delights on offer.
Children were very involved with the creation of the garden and did much of planting as well as the production of brightly coloured posters which were then made into mosaic plaques to be displayed in the garden.
The garden is today maintained by the Town Council’s ‘Streetscape Team’.
