On Tuesday, 27th August 2024, Harald OE8DSQ/P, a radio amateur, from Austria, reached the summit of Moritzhorn in the Province of Kärnten in the south of Austria. He activated the summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 5 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
The summit of Moritzhorn is 2554 metres (8346 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
