Grant County International Airport at Moses Lake, Washington, started its life as Moses Lake Army Base, and then Larson Air Force Base. Though now a civilian airport, it is still a frequent way point for the large birds out of McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma. With 4,700 acres and a main runway 13,500 feet long, it is one of the largest airports in the United States.
