On Saturday, 3rd August 2024, Jamie N6JFD, a radio amateur, from Reno, NV, reached the summit of Mount Langley in the Sierra Nevada region of California. He activated the summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 11 contacts in total working on the 2m amateur radio band.
The summit of Mount Langley is 4275 metres (14026 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
