On 4/30/21, a stampede occurred during the annual Mount Meron pilgrimage in Israel on the Lag BaOmer holiday, killing at least 45 people and leaving more than 100 others injured, including dozens who were critically wounded. It was one of the worst civilian disasters in Israeli history and the deadliest ever in terms of death toll.
