The 20’ wooden tower with a live-in cabin and catwalk was constructed in 1964. It is the fifth tower the Ochoco National Forest has built on this site with the first in 1919, followed in 1923, 1929, and 1933 serving 31 years until the present lookout was built. It is in active service. Mount Pisgah is a small mountain in Lane County, Oregon, United States, rising 1,060 feet above the surrounding Willamette Valley to a maximum elevation of 1,531 feet. It was named after the biblical Mount Pisgah.
