On Saturday 10th September 2022, Manu EC7ZT/P, a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Mulhacén and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 13 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Mulhacén is 3479 metres (11414 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
