MV Maersk Alabama lifeboat (hijacking)

This lifeboat belonged to the MV Maersk Alabama at the time of the infamous April 8, 2009 Somali pirate attack. The Captain of the MV Maersk Alabama, Richard Phillips was kidnapped and taken aboard the lifeboat for three days. On April 12th, US Navy SEAL marksmen killed three of the kidnappers and saved Phillips from further trouble.

The lifeboat is currently an exhibit at the National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum.
