Nørre-Hvalsø Jættestue (Passage Grave)

Nørre Hvalsø, Denmark (DK)
Located in the small town of Nørre-Hvalsø on the Danish island of Denmark are the remains of a Neolithic passage grave. The grave is located on a small open area of land between some modern houses.

Originally the site was a passage grave with two burial chambers and entrances. However, the majority of burial site has been destroyed. One huge stone covers the nothern chamber but the passage leading into that chamber has been demolished.

The majority of the southern chamber is largely gone with three stones from the acutal chamber remaining. The passage leading into this chamber is largely intact.
