Nancy Guthrie is the mother of Savannah Guthrie, abroadcast journalist and former attorney, who is a main co-anchor of the NBC News morning show 'Today'.
Nancy Guthrie was reported missing from her home in Pima County, Arizona at noon on Sunday February 1, 2026, after not showing up at church. The family had last had contact with her 9:30 pm the night before.
Pima County Sheriff reports that "This is not dementia related. She's sharp as a tack", citing that Guthrie has limited mobility and that there were clues found at the scene which indicated she did not leave the property on her own, and that they are not ruling out foul play. As of Monday February 2, 2026, drones, search dogs, search and rescue teams supported by volunteers and Border Patrol, as well as the local homicide team, are involved in the search for Guthrie.
