One of basketball’s greatest modern centers, Nikola Jokić, has called Cherry Hills Village, Colorado, home.
Public real-estate reporting says an LLC apparently connected to Jokić purchased a 29-room mansion in Cherry Hills Village in late 2021 for about $4.5 million. The property had previously been listed for approximately $5.3 million.
The reported home is enormous: approximately 12,271 square feet.
It was marketed as an “Old World estate,” with an elaborate, traditional luxury design featuring:
* 29 rooms
* About 12,271 square feet
* Private, gated setting
* Gym
* 12-seat home theater
* Guest apartments
* Resort-style swimming pool
* Pool house
* Kitchen in the pool-house area
* Marble finishes
* Chandeliers
* Large entertaining spaces
So while Jokić is famously low-key compared with many superstar athletes, his reported Colorado residence is anything but small.
Nikola Jokic's net worth is $120 million.
Another 2025 report about Cherry Hills describes the community as an affluent suburb south of Denver known for large, high-end properties and privacy. It also identifies Jokić as one of the professional athletes who has lived there.
The Serbian superstar, nicknamed “The Joker,” built one of the most remarkable NBA careers of his generation after being selected 41st overall in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Denver Nuggets.
Jokić was born February 19, 1995, in Sombor, Serbia, and eventually became the centerpiece of the Denver Nuggets. Despite being a second-round pick, he developed into a three-time NBA MVP, an NBA champion and Finals MVP, and one of the league’s most accomplished passing centers ever.
The basketball résumé
And then there’s the reason the house has such a famous resident.
Jokić’s résumé includes:
1× NBA Champion — 2023
The 2023 Denver Nuggets won the first championship in franchise history. Jokić was named NBA Finals MVP, averaging 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists during the five-game Finals against Miami.
3× NBA MVP
Jokić won the regular-season MVP award in:
* 2020–21
* 2021–22
* 2023–24
NBA’s official MVP history confirms those three selections.
⭐ 8× NBA All-Star
He has been selected to eight All-Star teams through the 2025–26 season.
8× All-NBA
Jokić has earned eight All-NBA selections, including multiple First Team selections.
2023 Western Conference Finals MVP
He received the Magic Johnson Western Conference Finals MVP award during Denver’s championship run.
The 2023 playoff run
The 2023 postseason was especially historic.
Jokić became the first player in NBA history to lead an entire postseason in total points, rebounds AND assists.
He finished that postseason with approximately:
* 600 points
* 269 rebounds
* 190 assists
He also recorded 10 triple-doubles, the most in a single postseason at the time.
And in Game 3 of the Finals against Miami, he produced a spectacular 32 points, 21 rebounds and 10 assists — the first 30-point, 20-rebound, 10-assist triple-double in NBA Finals history.
From Sombor to Denver
Jokić’s story is especially unusual because basketball wasn’t the only thing he loved growing up.
He developed a major passion for horses and horse racing in Serbia. His family has connections to harness racing, and Jokić eventually became involved with racehorses himself. His family’s stables are known as Dream Catcher, named after the first racehorse he purchased.
That makes his lifestyle pretty unique for a superstar athlete: one of the world’s most accomplished basketball players is also famously passionate about horses.
Olympic success
Jokić has also represented Serbia internationally.
At the 2016 Rio Olympics, Serbia reached the gold-medal game and won the silver medal.
At the 2024 Paris Olympics, Serbia won bronze, giving Jokić another Olympic medal.
And the numbers are ridiculous
Through the 2025–26 season, Basketball-Reference lists Jokić with career averages of roughly:
22.2 points • 11.1 rebounds • 7.5 assists per game
That’s extraordinary production from a 6-foot-11 center, particularly the passing numbers.
He has also accumulated hundreds of career triple-doubles and became known for doing things that traditionally weren’t expected from a center — essentially functioning as a team’s offensive hub, scorer, rebounder and elite passer all at once.
