North American cougar

The North American Panther (Puma concolor cougar), is a subspecies in the cougar species and Puma genus. The North American Panther once thrived in the eastern United States, but are now only prevalent in the western half. The critically endangered Florida Panther and extinct Wisconsin cougar are included in the subspecies.
