Nut Tree Airport

Nut Tree Airport

Vacaville, California (CA), US
The Nut Tree Airport was founded in 1955 by Ed Power Jr., an aviation enthusiast and the son of Nut Tree Shopping Center founders Ed "Bunny" Power Sr. and Helen Harbison Power, as a way of attracting aviators to the Nut Tree. The family sold the airport to Solano County in the 1970s

The Nut Tree was a themed outdoor shopping center that was owned by the original developers of the Nut Tree Airport (which is now owned by the county). The shopping center used to have a ramp from the airport where small planes could taxi right up, and take in a day at the shopping center.
