Ny Søby Langdysse (Long Barrow)

Ny Søby Langdysse (Long Barrow)

Vindeby, Denmark (DK)
Ny Søby Langdysse is a Neolithic long barrow located on the Danish island of Tåsinge. The barrow is located out in a farmer's field and is visible from the nearby road. Unlike other long barrows in Denmark, this is constructed purely from stone. The kerbstones that follow the edge of the barrow are still visible. The mound, that is made from earth on other long barrows in the country, is made from smaller stones like cairns. The remains of a dolmen can be seen in the middle of the barrow. The capstone is no longer there, but the support stones are still visible.
