On Wednesday 3rd May 2023, Kaz 7N1FRE/9, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Okudainichidake and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 25 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Okudainichidake is 2611 metres (8566 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Okudainichidake is In the Toyama Prefecture on Honshu Island.
