In the Plaza de la Villa de Pariàs stands the Palacio de Justicia, built at the end of the 19th C. on land belonging to the Convent of the Salesas Reales.
This dignified building, overlooking the gardens in the square, is situated in the center of a district of substantial houses much favored by the well-to-do citizens of Madrid in the reign of Isabella II.
