In this building world famous artist Paul Gauguin lived from 1884 to 1885 with his Danish wife Mette. Under the attic he had a small atelier he used when not working as a stockbroker. 1885 He left Mette and their children to move back to Paris.

Most famous is the Windings with Thomas (1936-2008), a radio and TV producer of programs for children. His wife was Lulu Gauguin, grandchild of Paul. Thomas and Lulu has 1 child together: Alberte, a pop singer and actress. Alberte has two half brothers: Aske Bentzon, a jazz musician and actor and Kasper, a pop musician. Kasper was once married to Gitte (Brigitte) Nielsen who married Sylvester Stallone after she divorced Kasper.
