Paul Henderson Summit Series mural

Paul Henderson Summit Series mural (StreetView)
This mural depicts the celebration of one of the greatest goals in hockey history. Team Canada's Paul Henderson scored the winning goal with 34 seconds left in the final game of the 1972 Summit Series against the Soviet Union.

The image of the celebration comes from a famous photograph of Henderson being hugged by teammate Yvan Cournoyer moments after scoring the goal.

Henderson played 18 seasons in the NHL and WHA from 1962-1981 with the Detroit Red Wings, Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Toros, Birmingham Bulls, and Atlanta Flames.
