Lee is a British television executive who was president of ABC Entertainment Group from 2010 to 2016, heading the major US television network ABC and its production arm ABC Studios.
He was born in London to a Jewish family and grew up in Oxfordshire. He graduated from Oxford University, where he studied Russian and Portuguese.
Lee joined the BBC in 1984, initially as a trainee, and in 1998 he moved to America to launch the US cable channel BBC America. In 2004, he joined ABC as head of the US cable network ABC Family Later, in 2016, he was replaced as President of ABC Entertainment by Channing Dungey.
