On Sunday 3rd July 2022 Alejandro EA4DON/P a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Peña Negrilla and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 35 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
