On Wednesday 6th July 2022 Armin F/DL6GCA/P a radio amateur from Germany reached the summit of Petit Ballon and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 13 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Petit Ballon is 1272 metres (4173 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
