On Thursday 16th February 2023, Jose EA7GV, a radio amateur from Spain reached the summit of Picón de Gor and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 9 contacts in total working on the 30 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Picón de Goris 2155 metres (7070 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
