On Tuesday 4th October 2022, Miguel CT1EBM/P and David CT7AUP/P, two radio amateurs from Portugal reached the summit of Picoto do Cebolo and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 24 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.

The summit of Picoto do Cebolo is 1405 metres (4610 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
