This is a 1953 Swedish Hanö class minesweeper.
It was bought for the filming of a movie about piracy. The scenes had to be shot off the coast of Corsica.
First problem for production: the presence of the skull and crossbones painted on the front of the bridge. Such representation is forbidden by French law even for a movie. The vessel was then detained by the Maritime Affairs.
Second problem, the production had big financial problems and also had to abandon the movie.
Since then, the ship go rotten and even be squatted for a while.
The Administration, who had seized the ship for non-payment of dock, tried unsuccessfully to sell it but can't find any buyers.
Rumors on one end as a possible target vessel.
