On Saturday 13th August 2022, Manuel HB9DQM/P and Christian HB9GIN/P two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Piz Forbesch and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 76 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 30, 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit Piz Forbesch is 3262 metres (10702 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
