Porsche 911 GT2 996

Porsche 911 GT2 996

Pontiac, Michigan (MI), US
In 2001, the replacement for the original Porsche 911 GT2, in the 996 generation, was released. It was built more like a traditional road car unlike its predecessor, and had a new version of the 3.6 liter twin-turbo H6 that produced up to 456, then 476 horsepower. Top speed was rated at 198 mph and 0-60 was achieved at 4.1 seconds, but drag efficient was 0.34, slightly higher than the previous GT2's drag coefficient of 0.33 because of its large rear wing. The 9ff 9f-V400 had the mechanicals of this and the body of a GT3-RS.
