On Monday 8th April 2024 at 11:11 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Robert OK2PYA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PR Mrhatina (OKFF-0726), on the 40m amateur radio band. Robert made a total of 44 contacts while at the reserve.
PR Mrhatina (OKFF-0726), is a protected area of 14.1922 hectares, lying to the south-west of Jihlava in the Czech Republic. In 1964 it was designated as a Přírodní rezervace (PR) [Nature Reserve] and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
