Pumping station S-5A

Operated by the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD), pumping station S-5A was the world's largest at the time it was built (1955). It still rates as among the world's largest (it's the largest East of the Mississippi), with a capacity of tens of millions of gallons of water per hour.
