Probable site of RAF Lacey Green. Ghostly shapes of buildings can be seen around the field. The area was requisitioned for use as a wartime airfield. From here Sir Arthur "Bomber" Harris flew his light aircraft on numerous trips to France. The airfield was closed in 1945.
