On 4, January, 2025, several railcars of a train hauling fertilizer fell into the Marys River, in Corvallis, Oregon, when the trestle collapsed. A year or two prior to the collapse, the trestle had experienced a fire from a transient camp underneath, but had been inspected and put back into service. They will have to rebuild it, as there are three locomotives stuck on the far side, which is a dead end spur. See photos for pictures of the collapse.
