Rather odd array

Rather odd array

Ruoqiang, China (CN)
This array or maybe some sort of electrical grid reminds me of the grid like structure about 270 miles N.E. of this site. There, it is also part of numerous structures been bombed or used for testing. Some of the comments in other blogs suggest some kind of active array like HAARP or ABM radar, maybe research into outer atmosphere, I don't really buy that argument as why put it so close to a bomb range?

The project started construction early 2005 as it appears in that imagery with some rather odd excavations.

China Research Institute of Radiowave Propagation (CRIRP) Ionospheric Laboratory, Xinjiang (Sinkiang) Region Ionospheric sounding network and data in China Wu Jian Jiao Peinan Xiao Zuo Wan Weixing Liu Ruiyuan Zhao Zhengyu LEME, China Res. inst. of Radiowave Propagation, Beijing; Abstract Ionospheric sounding has been conducted routinely for more than 60 years in China. A complete network of ground-based sounding sites covers the Chinese subcontinent, including vertical and oblique sounding, GPS measurement of ionospheric TEC and scintillation, VLF receivers measuring the lower ionosphere etc. In this paper, we give a picture of the sounding network, equipment situation and data acquired with emphasis on vertical ionosonde network

I saw that and noticed that it can't possibly be a power transformer station, not the right equipment. HAARP came to mind immediately.

It just seems a bit odd to me to put it so close to a bombing range. Also seems very similar to the one north of it at another bombing/testing range. Could it have something to do with the range? I was thinking more along the lines of EMP testing or anti GPS stuff....

Just checked out HAARP for the first time. Yeah, kind of similar but it is different. Need to go back and checked the size.

Hmm, the Chinese array measures a bit smaller than HAARP but still quite large. I didn't know that HAARP imagery was censored. Some of the array is visible but the norther part is censored.

Interesting, just measured Chinese array north of this one and it is bigger, probably same size as HAARP.

There's no large power line leading in to it. It's got to be a sensor array of some kind.
