On Sunday 18th September 2022, Stefano IZ3NVR, a radio amateur from Italy reached the summit of Rauchkofel and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 48 contacts in total working on the 40 metre HF amateur radio band.
