In 1956, he began to tour Europe and America playing Indian classical music and increased its popularity there in the 1960's through teaching, performance, and his association with violinist Yehudi Menuhin and George Harrison of "The Beatles". He purchased the 5-bed, 5-bath, 5,758 sq ft home in November of 1992 for $625K, according to public records.
