On Sunday, 25th August 2024, Vasil LZ1WF/P & Jany LZ1GJ, two radio amateurs, from the Bulgaria, reached the summit of Ravni chal in the Rila region of Bulgaria. They activated the summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 20 contacts in total working on the 2m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Ravni chal is 2637 metres (8652 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
