Remains of New Bremen Speedway: Pics and Stories

Remember going to the New Breman Speedway for my 13th Birthday present in July 1961. Met A.J Foyt who just won the 1961 Indianapolis 500 in May, in fact he let me set in his sprint car. After the race, Jim Hurtabese and my dad eat the fried chicken my mom made. Once I remember Parnelli Jones won a race and after he was presented the winning trophy a guy holding a small child walked up to him and said something in his ear.....Parnelli broke the trophy over the guy's head....Never found out what was said though.....Never thought I'd want to mess with Parnelli though.......Great memories....Wish I had a souvenior from the Speedway.....Dan Roush...Lima, Ohio
