Exterior scenes of the firehouse on the Denis Leary firefighter drama TV series "Rescue Me" are filmed at this location. Interior firehouse scenes are filmed at the nearby Silvercup Studios in Queens.

I went to see this in July of 09, and it is exactly where they film the show. They have where it says ladder 62 and engine 99 covered up. All the windows are boarded up as well. But pretty awsome to see where you filmed it.

Was this ever used as an actual firehouse? It looks like it could have been,weird that it has no second floor though.

Nope, it's not a firehouse. It's part of a neighborhood of warehouses and small factories. They spruced up this building by painting the doors and adding signs and fixtures to make it look real. They were also crafty about camera angles to hide the fact it's a one story building.

In the very first episode - "Guts", the inside of the firehouse and apparatus bays differ from later episodes. What firehouse or location was used?

First episode was filmed in Yonkers, NY Fire Station 1. In early episodes you can see pictures of the Yonkers FD rigs on the kitchen wall. The set was built to look like the YFD house for the rest of the show.
