An Ashland man who planned to attack the Pentagon and U.S. Capitol with a remote-controlled aircraft filled with plastic explosives was arrested today in Framingham on federal charges, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

Rezwan Ferdaus, 26, is accused of also attempting to provide support and resources to al Qaeda so it could attack U.S. soldiers overseas.
