Richard Magnuson's House

Mr. Richard A. Magnuson, Rick, serves as an Executive Managing Director at GI Partners and GI Partners Fund III, L.P. Mr. Magnuson founded GI Partners in 2001.

He serves as an Executive Managing Director at CB Richard Ellis Investors, L.L.C., Global Innovation Private Equity Fund II, L.P. and Global Innovation Private Equity Fund I, L.P. He is the General Partner of Digital Realty Trust, L.P. and has been its Director since 2004.

Mr. Magnuson served as a Deputy Managing Director at Nomura's Principal Finance Group and assisted in the investment and oversight of approximately $3 billion of equity capital invested in businesses and properties located in North America and Europe. He had joined Nomura in 1994. He served as the Chairman of Digital Realty Trust, Inc. Previously, Mr. Magnuson served as a Director of Investment Banking at Merrill Lynch, where he provided corporate finance and merger and acquisition advice to asset-based businesses.

Mr. Magnuson worked at Digital Research and founded and sold Interactive Software. He serves as Directors of SoftLayer, ViaWest and Duckhorn Wine Company. He has been a Director of Waypoint Real Estate Group and Waypoint Homes, Inc. since January 11, 2012. He serves as a Director of Glenborough Realty Trust, Inc. Mr. Magnuson served as a Member of the Board of Directors of The LInc. Group, STAG Venture, and Sunset Gower Studios. He is a charter member of the San Francisco Bay YPO chapter and a Trustee of the Hoover Institute at Stanford University.

Mr. Magnuson holds an M.B.A. from the Standford Graduate School of Business and a B.A. degree, with honors, from Dartmouth College.
