He also co-founded ENSCO International Incorporated, an oil field service and offshore drilling company in 1986; Mid Ocean Limited, a provider of casualty re-insurance in 1992; and Crescent Real Estate Equities, Inc., in 1994

He made his first $100 million managing money for the Bass Brothers of Texas' family money.

He has been involved in many shadowy business deals with George W. Bush, including buying and selling the Texas Rangers.
