On 30 AUG 2018, Encino, CA resident, Robert Chain was arrested and charged in federal court for making numerous threatening phone calls to journalists at the Boston Globe newspaper.

Globe made at least 14 calls to the newspaper, saying "You're the enemy of the people, and we're going to kill every f*****g one of you. I'm going to shoot you in the head today at 4 o'clock." Globe's threats echoed those of Donald Trump, who frequently refers to the press as "the enemy of the people".

FBI raided Chain's home on the morning of 30 AUG 2018, finding 20 guns, both long guns and handguns, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition.

Chain was released on bond of $50,000, pending his 24 SEPT 2018 court date.
